United Grand Lodge of England
The United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE) is the governing body of Freemasonry in England, Wales and the Channel Islands. Its headquarters are at Freemasons’ Hall, Great Queen Street, London WC2B 5AZ.
Meetings
UGLE meets in Quarterly Communication on the second Wednesday in March, June, September and December. The Annual Investiture, which is followed by the Grand Festival, is held on the last Wednesday in April.
Administration
The United Grand Lodge of England currently has over a quarter of a million members meeting in over 8,000 Lodges, which are grouped as follows:
Lodges meeting in London (an area generally within a 10-mile radius of Freemasons’ Hall), are administered by the Metropolitan Grand Lodge of London, which is headed by the Metropolitan Grand Master.
Lodges meeting outside London, and within England, Wales, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands, are grouped into 47 Provinces, whose boundaries often correspond to those of the old Counties, with each headed by a Provincial Grand Master.
Lodges that meet outside England, Wales, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands are grouped into 33 Districts, with each headed by a District Grand Master, five Groups (ie: currently too small to make up a District), with each headed by a Grand Inspector, and 12 Lodges abroad which are directly administered by Freemasons’ Hall.

HRH The Duke of Kent, KG, GCMG, GCVO, ADC Prince Edward George Nicholas Paul Patrick was born in 1935, and educated at Eton and Le Rosey, Switzerland. He is a cousin both of the Queen and of the Duke of Edinburgh. His father, who was Grand Master from 1939 until 1942, was the fourth son of King George V, and his mother, Princess Marina, was the daughter of Prince Nicholas of Greece. He has been the Grand Master of the United Grand Lodge of England since he was first elected in 1967.
As the Grand Master is a member of the Royal Family he has powers to appoint a Pro Grand Master to be his principal adviser, and to act for him on those occasions when, due to royal engagements, he is unable to be present

Simon Ruscoe Price BA Hons PGCE NPQH
Brother Simon Ruscoe Price has joined The Kitchener Lodge in November 2012.
He was initiated into Britannic Lodge number 33 in London and is currently a member of Ala Lodge number 5043 in the Province of Suffolk, England. He has held every office in lodge up to Senior Warden until his business move overseas.
He is working in India as a specialist curriculum advisor to schools. He has over twenty years of work experience as an experienced teacher and school administrator having served nine years as Assistant Head teacher. He was Deputy Director of a National school improvement program for an overseas government. In 2010 he worked as Director of a large and prestigious residential summer school program in the UK that included English language courses for overseas students. He has a wealth of experience in a variety of schools. He is an experienced teacher recruiter and trainer including initial teacher training. He has led faculties and departments in Modern Foreign Languages (MFL), English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and Information and Communications Technology (ICT). He studied at Anglia Ruskin Cambridge, Montpellier and Reading Universities and in addition has a qualification in school leadership. He has recently successfully completed two modules of a Master’s in Education focusing on change management and action research.
